LETTERS FROM COLLECTIONS
The correct way to present the ‘Collected Letters of Robert Buchanan’ would be in chronological order, however, since they are scattered around the world, it is going to be a long time before I have gathered enough of them together to make such a presentation worthwhile. In the meantime I have decided to keep certain collections, such as the letters to Browning, Tennyson, Roden Noel, etc., separate and the letters from various institutions will be added here as they are acquired. This is not the ideal way of doing things and I apologise, but since the majority of these letters have never been published I felt it was better to present them here immediately in this rather haphazard way, rather than wait until I could do the job properly. As ever, best guesses are rendered in italics. _____
